If you work in care, we're here for you.
MISSION & HISTORY.
The National Association of Care and Support Workers (Nacas) is the private professional body for care workers.
Nacas was founded by Paul Featherstone in 2016. Paul is a qualified engineer & former retail management professional. He discovered social care work late in life, first as a support worker in a residential setting , then moved to domiciliary care work.
Paul is passionate about care workers, and wanted to do something to support them and to bring greater recognition to the work they do.
Unlike nurses and other healthcare professionals, Care Workers have not had a formal membership body, and have been underrepresented with a national voice or with professional recognition. Nacas is now the UK's only professional body for care and support workers.
Everyone who works as a carer or support worker is eligible to join. Unpaid care workers are welcome to join for free, and supporters and students can join as well. if you're an employer, you can become a corporate sponsor.
Nacas is proudly supported by our partners. If you'd like to discuss how you can become a partner, please contact us.
