NACAS dismisses the notion that care working is an unskilled job and promotes care and support work as a profession. A profession that is a career of choice, with a defined career path, specialisms and one that should be rewarded accordingly, to reflect the complexity and importance of the roles that fall under the various care and support worker headings.
.....and its not just a career for the ladies, the chaps make fantastic care & support workers also....
By joining the Association, care and support workers demonstrate their passion for their vocation and a willingness and commitment to set professional standards and a real desire to further their own continous personal development. Members agree with and adhere to the values set out within our Code of Ethics.
Developing and Raising Standards
To raise standards and to deliver the best possible practice in care and support work, NACAS has developed Standards of Practice and maintains a voluntary verified membership register, to protect the public interest and raise public confidence in our profession, whilst also protecting the well being of our members.
